When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also collect your CEFR level preference, selected interest topics, and generated story data. We use Amplitude for product analytics, which collects anonymized usage data such as page views and button clicks.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate your account
- Generate stories matched to your level and interests
- Process payments via Stripe
- Save stories to your personal library
- Improve the Service through anonymized analytics
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth — for authentication
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Amplitude — for product analytics
- Vercel — for hosting and infrastructure
- OpenAI — for AI story generation
Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Data Storage
Your account data and generated stories are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Vercel. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). Amplitude may use cookies or local storage for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and generated stories for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
